THE PLAYERS
At over 10 feet high and 40 feet long, this would be the largest LED Board that I would have the privilege of working on. The fully animated ‘Past Champions Display’ would be comprised of two semi-circles facing one another with the interior walls carouseling through different eras of champions in The Players storied past.
This was a fun way for a fan to be fully immersed in the history of The Players tournament. Each player would have a ‘standard state’ only showing their face and the year and a ‘highlight state’ that would enlarge their portrait, reveal their name and winning score. This was all hand animated by myself in Adobe After Effects. The outer walls would have live coverage as well as a‘tagboard’, displaying highlights from specially tagged social media posts.
From pitch to product this was a large idea with larger execution that would be tweaked for such future events as the Valero Texas Open and Waste Management Phoenix Open.
